By the power of 13 times 13…

As elsewhere reported, today is Chas‘ and my 13th anniversary.

Tonight we shall dine at a nice restaurant, have much wine (which will all go to my head… where it belongs) and then end the evening with various activities that until recently were illegal in the state of Texas.

Religious leaders and the memes that love them…

Stolen from the journal of: dbananza:

You two would probably really get along!
Not a religion founder in any true sense, instead felt that everyone should follow their own path to God. “There is nothing but water in the holy pools. I know, I have been swimming there. All the gods sculpted of wood or ivory can’t say a word. I know, I have been crying out to them. The Sacred Books of the East are nothing but words. I looked through their covers one day sideways. What I talk about is only what I have lived through. If you have not lived through something, it is not true.”
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Oh! I’m it!

1. Thank the person that tagged you.
2. List 5 random/strange/weird things about you.
3. Tag 5 other people.

Thank you, veedub. I’ll get you back for this. (No, really.)  😉

  1. I’m not weird. Mainstream America is weird.
  2. I am an avid fan of Doctor Who. And Jelly Babies.
  3. I like cleaning lint out of the dryer.
  4. My since childhood obsession with becoming a Warlock may have had more to do with reruns of Bewitched than my talent for mediating Spirit.
  5. I like guacamole, but not avocados.

Not another personality test!?!

Idea stolen from the journal of heartssdesire:

From the website:
The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingram in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.

So… if you are so inclined… follow this link and describe me in 5 or six words. And be honest… part of the purpose is to determine what my blind spots are.

Then if you want you can get your own Johari Window when you are done. Isn’t that exciting? 😉
